The week so far hasn't gone too well. Today (Monday) I went to get my driver's license and it turns out that since I got my permit in Bryan, I have to get my license in Bryan, not Madisonville. We won all three of our basketball scrimmage games over the past weekend. The JV won too...one of their games was 60-7. We are going to have a great JV team this year. Basketball season has finally come upon us. But the best part is...cross country is OVER!! I didn't do so well in the regional meet, placing 120th or something. As the week goes on, the week gets worse. A friend of mine lost his grandfather on Monday. Tuesday, my grandma died. Wednesday, my best friend lost his dad due to a heart attack. Today, Thursday, I found out I have 2 major tests tomorrow, one of which includes a take-home essay which has to be 5 paragraphs. I just wish this week would end.

I have found out today that school is out for Thursday and Friday due to refugees coming to our school from Houston. Homecoming was cancelled, and it was rescheduled for October 14 against Oakwood. I got through the first week of school with ease. I have classes with the same people that I had them with since 8th grade. Although, there was a mixup between my dual credit course. While I was in Tennessee, it was explained to me that if I set off the house alarm, the cops, amubulance, and fire department would be at the door in under a minute. I set it off, and all that happened was that we got a phone call asking if everything was cool.
