Do you have a backup plan for if LJ goes under? I've archived my journal; just wondering where I might move to.

I've been meaning to post a similar entry in my own journal to see what happens. I have an account over at deadjournal that I set up a few years ago when I thought LJ was gonna tank.

As far as anywhere else to move to, I dunno. :\

i have a tumblr. i have already made the switch, but i can't stop reading my friends' page. it's such a comfort to be able to log on and read these people's intermittent words. it's silly how familiar i am with these strangers who i rarely exchange one on one communication with and who i am not even sure read my words.

by the way, you are my favorite one right now.

I've thought about that before and I have no idea.

I haven't as such, but I blog so rarely here now... I blog in two other places about completely different things and that seems to fill the need. I haven't saved this journal at all though, so would probably cry if the site died. I keep meaning to go through and save any entries that mean anything, but now it's such a massive project it keeps putting me off.

How do you archive your journal?

I used LJ Archive, downloaded from: http://www.metafilter.com/78002/Livejournal-circling-the-drain. LJ Backup is also there. I've no idea of the pros and cons of all the various programmes you can use, but this one worked fine. Took minutes, if that.
