Recommend me music, please.

Do you have a backup plan for if LJ goes under? I've archived my journal; just wondering where I might move to.

If I go up to York this weekend (it's undecided; I've been ill) I'll be going to a 40s-themed party for which I'll need a last minute costume. Any ideas? Preferably for anything that could easily be made from, say, cardboard? British officials have moved away from using the phrase "war on terror". I almost cried at the clear logic and insight of this. And am inclined once again to say: Hail, beautiful England.
