I heard a weird noise outside that sounded suspiciously similar to a distressed bird caught in a kitty-tooth vise. Today, I met a strange spider at work, got precariously close to a goldfinch with my vehicle, and touched a dragonfly's abdomen as it was resting on my front door.

Apparently, faeries like coming out on rainy days when you should have been in bed 3 hours ago.

HOLYCRAP! I was trying to euthanize a fly in my kitchen when I noticed a flower bud on my night-blooming cereus cactus!!

People have parties when this happens ~ the flower only opens at night and then it's dead by morning. I pray to the gods that I can catch it...though I'll most likely be at work when it blooms. (T^T)
