AM SO DEPRESSED, this weekend’s weather is going to be GORGEOUS.  Low to mid 20s, pure sunshine, and very low wind conditions.  I WISH I WAS RACING.  The conditions are perfect.  But I must show some self-control…man, I can’t believe I’m missing a 160km ride!!!

Totally non-training related but OH SO BIG!!!  I love Khaled Hosseini's writing...if it is as good as the Kite Runner...it's going to be an epic read...

Oh man, what a day!!!

Considering yesterday's crap weather, today's weather made it up in spades.  I didn't wake up until 10am (UNHEARD for me) but I was gabbing with a friend until 2am last night and the night before didn't trudge in until 2:30am.  So it caught up to me big time.  It's official, I'm getting old.

I picked up baby and enjoyed the fantastic weather.  Still chilly but clear and sunny skies.  I am still red from this weekend.  I never burn so it's a pretty bad sign considering it's only April.

My legs are bit weary still from Paris-Ancaster but not enough to keep me on my fat arse.

The weekend outlook is going to involve two things a) being outside and b) killing my lungs and legs.  Heaven, eh.  With temps hitting a downright freaking-awesome 20+C on Sat/Sun, you bet your ass I’ll be on my bike(s).

I'm back!!!  Sort of.

I felt fantastic tonight and welcomed the milder weather with a short ride.  I went out at 6:30pm and managed 1.5 hours covering a little over 40km.  It was short and sweet but EXACTLY what I needed.  I was reminded again tonight how much I love riding.  I LOVE IT.  I feel so damn good when I'm riding.  I'm hella slower on ( Read more... )

Ran 4.5 miles tonight on the mill.  I am feeling stronger everyday.  I felt great tonight.  Cadence was BANG ON.  There is something electric about running to NIN's Closer.  It's a pretty graphic song but it sure does the trick to push me on when I feel like dragging your feet.  That and In The Dark by Tiesto feat Christina Burns ( Read more... )
