Today marks the one-year anniversary of the date I moved to Wichita, Kansas. People ask me if I like it here and I can honestly say that yes, I love it. Moving here has probably been the biggest and best change of my entire life. One of the reasons I enjoy living here is the weather. Today is Thanksgiving, and I've certainly got a lot to be thankful for this year.

First and foremost of course is God, who makes every day of my life possible. I thank Him for the good days which have have made me happy, and the bad days which have made me stronger.

A couple of years ago, my brother developed a weird growth on his left ear. Nobody thought much of it at the time, it didn't really look harmful, and since he didn't have health insurance, it went mostly ignored. Over time though, it got bigger and bigger, so a few months ago he finally got admitted to UTMB Galveston and had it surgically removed. ( Read more... )
