Excellent. From the flashback to Michael being jealous over Matt to Ian trying to be a voice of reason to Bob to the end. The race though... wow. That was amazing. I also liked this little piece of alliteration: the Texas-Exs were still as thick as thieves. It just rolls off of the tongue.
And for the record, your Ian is perfect.

I thought that I had heard it before, so I looked it up and apparently the Texas Alumni Association is referred to as the "Texas Exes." I am completely tickled by that and now I wish that my school had a cool name for alumni.

By the way I still totally support you writing an Ian/Aaron story haha

Am beginning to think the "happy" ending would be fic!Ryan goes off into the sunset to share a huge bed and a happy life with Grevers, Jones, PVK and the rest, because it's hard to see how fic!Michael is going to get his head out of this b.s. mindset he's in... Even with your part 1, I'm still not certain where you're going with this and I LOVE THAT.

Once again, you've roused me from the lurker's lair. This chapter is frighteningly good. The breakup scene in particular -- I appreciate the fact that they're total guys about it (the thing that bothers me about most slash fic is that dudes tend to morph into chicks).

Love that with Ryan's boys, it's on like Donkey Kong now: the shoulder block by Cullen, and the protective phalanx gathered around Ryan. MP really needs to keep an eye out for a Kyle-angel ambush.

It makes me very happy that they come off as guys about the fight; I try hard not to fall into that slash-trap of feminizing men.
