My rant for the evening.

I know that Pet Project isn't perfect.  I realize that it's been going on for seven years.  I realize that I overestimate my own writing timeline and I'm a horrible judge of when things will happen in specific chapters (I think they will happen in the next chapter but they end up happening four chapters later).

I get that ( Read more... )

LOL. I know. I'm not even annoyed at what was said. Some of it is valid. Some I agree with, some I don't. And I know I'm not god's gift to fanfic. I just hate when people don't give me a way to respond -- even if it just comes down to saying, "I hear you and I'm sorry my glacial pace has distressed you."

Ignore them. You're still writing when you can, you haven't shut down your LJ or ff.net account, you haven't changed your name to hide yourself. This is the most difficult part of the story because everything has to tie together and you have to remember things from seven years ago. Any writer knows this is the hardest part. Those who criticize you are non-writers who have no idea how tough this part is. Hang in there!!!

(looks for Rink... Rink, where are those spelled sheets? She needs them!)

I agree that it's well worth the wait. You owe us NOTHING. We owe you for giving us such an amazing story. I'm poor and I can't write to save my life, so I cannot repay you with either money or a story for you to enjoy. All you have is my thanks and admiration.

Don't let it get you down. I'm sure that for every anonymously ignorant review there are hundreds of positive ones.

I may be a glutton for punishment, but I will be so sad when PP is over that I am kind of glad that it takes a while for updates. I also love the story just as it is.

Hey, it just means there's a good excuse to read it all over again from the beginning. *happy dance* :D
