EVENT 1 out of 5 - the next event will go up on the 16th!! (If you want hints as to what the other events are head over
here.)
Who: EVERYONE; lets get warmed up for upcoming events!
What: A seemingly normal day at Café … with a twist of course
When: December 13th 2010; Lunch hour.
Where: Café - obviously
EVENT DETAILS: That this, of course is not a normal day at café Akatsuki - (when is it ever?) but today, your challenge is to fit as many cameos into your posts as you can. Shove nods to video games, other animes, movies ANYTHING that isn’t Café or Naruto verse canon into your posts. This can be anything from characters, to clothing, to items even situations. Just run with it! And yes, I do realize that this event is not Christmas themed -- don't worry the next three events are DEFINITELY Christmas related -- and not in the... "traditional" sense of things. ;) Enjoy!
Itachi was rushing; his last lecture had gone on much longer than anticipated (not helped by the fact that the professor had in fact been late) and while he wasn’t late yet, he was shaving it quite close. This only because he had neglected to return to the apartment to change into his work attire before arriving, coming straight from the school to where he had emerged from the subway line. Something he admittedly despised, (all those people pressed up against each other-wandering hands--) but it was admittedly quicker than any other mode of transportation he had at his disposal at that given moment in time. So naturally when the cheerful bell chimed his entrance he was donning that immaculate
school uniform his school had so strictly enforced, and elegant wire-rim glasses rather than those red contacts (--so inappropriate for the school setting). On time for his shift. Exactly. Right on the dot - unfortunately stuck in the wrong uniform-would have to change into the spare he kept in the back. Coming to work in this uniform was something he had wished to avoid like the plague - that university life something he wanted to keep wholly separate from his co-workers (not to mention how a certain other reacted to such things - couldn’t help but smirk at the thought). Felt too revealing, like letting them a little closer. Although that notion in itself was ridiculous. It was just a uniform.
Making his way towards the back something had caught his eye that made him pause and raise a dark brow skyward. Right by the entrance to kitchen sat Jashin - no, not the god, the feline. Looking as though he owned the place, as per usual. That’s not what was odd. What was grabbing hold of his attentions was the…
thing he was holding inside those jaws. A lifeless form of some sort… a doll he had stolen from a customer perhaps (although that ungodly expression made him wonder--). A quick gaze cast around the café, ignoring those high school girls on their lunch break giggling over his choice in clothing, told him that no one seemed to be making a fuss over things that had been stolen by a monster!cat. In which case, he was in no hurry to sacrifice his hand in the effort to take Jashin’s prize away from him.
