1. i get all my bill statements online so i can pretend i'm not paying a giant unending stack of bills, but i can assure you it's something stupid like 2/3 of my monthly salary, assuming we are including rent in this. seriously, how do people buy houses? or new cars? OR BABIES? i do not understand adulthood.

2. YOU ARE PRETTY. just sayin.

I too get all my bill statements online...no paper whatsoever!
Everything is deducted from my checking account.
I use mint.com to track my spending...I really suggest it if you have never used it before.
I put EVERYTHING (esp. everything I pay for in cash) on there to track my spending.

Also, as for the savings, does your work offer a 401k or the like? If so, do they match funds? If they do, start taking that percentage of pay out of your paycheck so it goes directly into your 401k. For example, if they match up to 6%, put AT LEAST 6% away...they are essentially giving you free money.
I apologize if you knew all of this already. I really enjoy budgeting and the like :-)

You are gorgeous Jessica...you always have been!!

Ugh tell me about it, on the positive side I paid off my credit line (which I've been carrying a balance on probably since I was 19 or 20!) this month! Now I'm just shackled to this massive fucking student loan I keep adding to in grad school!

I'm glad to see you're still posting a bit here and there!
