Isabel and I have a cold! I am dismayed to have broken my 2½ year record of not being sick. It was probably unavoidable with the sure-fire combination of prolonged sleep shortages and day care. The only thing that would have made it more inevitable would have been a plane trip ( Read more... )

I'm quite impressed that you are getting close enough to manually knocking them down. I favor the wasp spray that shoots out 30 feet. I can stay safe behind a cracked door and soak down the nest.

Sorry you and Isabel aren't feeling well.

Is it still blue bonnet season? Have you taken her picture in a patch of them yet. Its like a Texas child's right of passage.

Wow, what a great idea! We will do that this weekend. I also want to take some pictures of her in her new stroller (okay, my new stroller). Thanks for the suggestion! I am going to send you an e-mail today too...

I bought a sleep book yesterday (recommended to me by my cousin's wife, whose 7 month old had stopped napping): Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Dr. Marc Weissbluth (3rd edition, paperback, 2003). While a bit of what he writes pisses me off, most of it doesn't. He's got sleep strategies for newborns to preschoolers.
