OK, well I haven't posted here for a while, mainly as I haven't had much to post about. But we had a nice few days in Scotland last week so I thought I'd share a few photos. It was an absolutely gorgeous week, we explored to our heart's content, went a lot further than we expected, and also fitted in an afternoon visit to the absolutely wonderful nakeishaRead more... )

I'm so envious! I missed out on my trip to Skye this year, and my system feels the lack of brooding scenery. Ullapool is very pleasant, isn't it? It must be nearly 10 years since I was last there.

Skye is somewhere I've always wanted to go so hopefully our next trip to Scotland will include that. Yes, I thought Ullapool was nice, I especially thought its situation was stunning.

Really lovely pictures - we do have some stunning scenery and skies and water up here. There are quite a lot of quaint towns like Ullapool.

It was so lovely to see you, it really was and the time just flew by.

And as you know, you certainly chose the right week to come and the right day to go home on.

*Hugs*

Thank you. It seemed to me that everywhere we turned the outlook was gorgeous.

Thank you. We loved our visit to you and the time always flies when you're having a lovely time.

We really did.

It is a beautiful area - there is so much loveliness around. Even when we house-hunting in January in the snow & grimness it was still lovely to look around.

Oh, good. It really does *Hugs*

Those pictures are stunning. I always wanted to make the trip, but every passing year makes it less likely. Sounds like you had a great time!

I know. There are places I'd like to see (Norway, Sweden etc.) that I doubt I shall ever make now. Sad really but there you go.

The scenery is so dramatic, isn't it? Unforgettable. Great photos, thank you.

Oh, I do like your gorgeously moody Scotland pics! I was thinking about my trip up there today for some reason (maybe in anticipation of reading your post! *g*) and already wishing I could go again soon. It sounds like you had a lovely time - and I'm looking forward to your next batch of photos/post too! *g*

I was so pleased with some of the photos. They look like I photoshopped some of the colours but weirdly I didn't touch one of them. The skies really were that colour. I really want to go again soon, I just wish it was less of a hassle to get up there (we flew).
