University criticized for overspending on expensive M$ products. I do recall making this argument a few years ago. But instead of Institutes of Higher Learning looking to open source they continually fund M$. Next time you get a bill for your student loans remember that a lot of that went to micro$oft. Suddenly I feel ill.

ahh yes please let me pull that tution hike out of my a**. people are stupid and will argue that open source is not as reliable or stable. Ummm to that I say "have you ever tried to run word with anyother program on a windows machine, especially when the paper is due in 10 min and you haven't saved in 3 hours?"

OpenOffice prompts me to save every so many minutes or characters of unsaved changes, which ever comes first. That makes me happy. I am too lazy to remember to save as I type, but I am grateful to hit yes when ever that box pops up.
