My pipe dream is and has been that J-term will leave me time to watch all the movies I've never seen but have wanted to, I'm taking my IMDB.com list of movies I need to see and posting it here, as well as adding some others that have been recently reccomended to me. Reccomendations and comments are welcome.

of those 35 movies you named, I have seen a grand total of...

...5. (Not counting ones I've seen part of, but not enough to really... count. 2 or 3 of those.)

Gosh, I feel illiterate.

Office Space is hilarious. I'd watch that first. And Dancer, Texas is a little bit slow, but the eye candy totally makes up for it.

I've seen four of your movies. :)

of these movies, I would dissuade you from watching a handful. AI was a huge disappointment. pollock was not especially interesting. here's the plot: artist does something no one else has ever done, drinks and womanizes and ruins his life. girl, interrupted is a pretty okay chick movie--watch it if that's what you want and expect.

some of the others, though, are must-watch. adaptation. the game. snatch. of those on your list that I have seen, those are the ones I would most highly recommend.

I would definitely, definitely recommend Dead Man Walking. If you haven't seen The Mission, I'd recommend that too. And The Pianist. I thought Pretty in Pink was pretty lame- not up to good Brat Pack Movie standards. I also think Sleepy Hallow's skipable. I really liked Dancer, TX. Let me know what you think about Monsters Ball, Cider House Rules, Black Hawk Down, Life as a House, The Hours, and Dead Man Walking.

oh man, I've seen the mission soooo many times in spanish classes. it was just the default movie for when there was nothing planned or we had a sub.

I have seen 15 of them and about half of 5 others. AI was diapointing, not nearly as good as I expected and Curse of the Jade scorpion was a good plot but really boring. I have never heard of Donnie Brasco, but my favorite Donnie movie is Donnie Darco, which if you have not seen it, you definately should.
