[Okay, what was going through my head making this *yes, I had a thought -- try not to faint* was to chronicle Charles & Erik's relationship right through the film, with a different song for each different important scene. Which is why there's a film-quote for every track. ^_^ The idea/hope was that you could listen to this and feel like you've ( Read more... )

You get all my love for including a Dresden Dolls song, and so many bands I have never heard of. I'm downloading this right now and I can't wait to listen to it!

Heheh, I couldn't really call myself a Neil Gaiman fan without putting Amanda in here somewhere. ^_^ Ooo *dances from foot to foot, a la Homer Simpson* I hope you like it once you've had a listen!

Great! Glad you think so!
I have a hard time including Breaking B in fanmixes -- I've got all this great classic-rock in my itunes, but they make the cut instead. It's embarrassing that I end up chosing a band that sounds like a cross between Audioslave and Something Corporate over Led Zepp, or someone! ^_^'

I'm trying to write a intelligent comment about Led Zepp and classic rock but your icon keeps distracting me, dammit.

"I know Priest did a cover of this and if I had any respect for my classic-rock chops I'd include them- but really, this is Baez's song."

My thoughts exactly. This song has been playing on repeat in my head since I saw the movie. And it's funny how the original version just embraces Erik/Charles better than the actual gay man's version. :D (But don't worry, dear Priest, I'll still play you on the background of more kinky stuff.)

Loving the rest of the mix also, good work. :)
