We're just winding down our weekend trip to Germany. We took the train from wtfborough, which took... quite a while, even with the in-laws picking us up across the border in Belgium. I'm trying to find German stuff here, but don't know where to start. I did find some gingerbread cookies, that are very much like Lebkuchen, but I do miss the ones with rice paper on the back.
And I would travel all the way to Germany just to taste a real bradwurst from a street seller again. They are real sausages not the plastic frankfurters you get in other countries...

I'm babbling, I know, but your sausage comment reminded me of it. Cookieman will only buy bratwurst at Aldi here. For some reason, UK producers are allowed to call things sausages which only feature 50% meat. mm meaty bread!
We found some jars of rotkohl today at Lidl, along with some other German favourites. He's a happy boy now.

The baby is moving around a lot in there, and according to the midwife, things are progressing well. No news is good news, I suppose. :)
