I'm really nervous. Financial troubles are among me. Well, among my mom at least, and they are affecting me. Our phones got cut off because of a 400 dollar phone bill and my mom's last two paychecks have been small. She also got a cut-off notice for the electric. Getting a credit card won't help you get out of debt. The only thing that will help you get out of debt is to stop acquiring it and start paying it off.

There is a big difference between credit and debt. Debt is the amount of money you owe someone. However credit is the perceived ability to pay a debt. Your credit is determined by how you pay all your bills. If you pay each month on a credit card and haven't defaulted you will have good credit. In order to build better credit you need to be able to pay a credit card each month for several years ( ... )
