So let's start from the beginning. Your calculus class will probably begin with a discussion of limits. Some books have a rather cryptic discussion, but they really aren't that big of a deal

Oh thank you. Right now I'm trying to decide how much more to say on limits. Every single book seems to cover them to different extents. Mainly I want to hit the ideas that people are likely to see on homework.
great post. I just finished taking Calculus I for the third time (don't ask) and find this to be a much simpler and intuitive explanation of limits than how Stewart does it in Early Transcendentals.
