I gave up on politics
a while ago I realized the content of politics was primarily arbitrary. No reason to support one side or another except personal whim.

If I look at my livejournal friends page without being logged in I get lots of notices from LJ saying that the content of my friends' livejournals (mostly communities about politics or economics) may not be appropriate for minors, and they put 90% of the posts under LJ cuts.

I'm watching "flashforward" and they're making a big thing about how EVERYONE on earth has this blackout simultaneously, and for the first time they all have some thing in common.
Funny enough, I thought immediately of the fact that we were all born, and we're all alive.
That seems like enough in common to me. -
