Today, I did ten reps of leg press at 270 lbs. That's the most that I've ever done. I did 100 lbs. hamstring curls and just barely did 10. I love seeing results. My upper body is not as great, but that just means I now have a goal.

Geoff sent me (through his parents) a dozen red roses. I think I'm going to cry, but in a good way. I don't know the last time that I got roses.

I had breakfast with my Dad this morning who was here on business, and I happened to notice that he wasn't wearing his wedding ring. He had on a bracelet type thing on his right arm, but no ring, and he talked about having a beer with a female colleague the night before. Okay, ugh, between having fun and the road trip for Geoff and having more fun, I've only graded 5 papers in 5 days! I have 95 to go. 95!!!!! That's 19 papers a day while still researching for the article that's due on the 30th. Okay, breathing, breathing, I might not be able to do much for a few days.

I had lunch with my dissertation committee chair yesterday, and she convinced me to contact the Priest that interviewed me in December for the Washington job. So I e-mailed a Priest. It feels weird.
