LJ Idol Week 1: Trust Everyone, but cut the cards

I have four drafts scattered across three mediums.

The first draft came to me when I was on the edge of sleep. I shot up, grabbed my phone and cobbled together something that sounded good to someone with their guard down.

It's hard letting people see what's inside you. Especially as a writer, sometimes. I'm all too familiar with wanting to hide who I am and what truly interests me as a writer. Staying true to yourself is the important part.

I think you'll do just fine, here. :)

Revealing yourself through writing (through any art form. Maybe just... revealing yourself without any qualifiers at all) is one of the most frightening things out there.
It is also one of the most beautiful, freeing, and important.
