Day 14

Neal had spent the last two days finishing the Degas, just as he had done before, right down to ensuring that the aging included immature micro-fractures.  He found it ironic that he was wishing Philip Kramer might get a hold of this one soon.

Today was devoted to the issue of the passport. )

Ha, a Cape. Verde stamp, very clever. Mara summers makes a great villain. I hope they bring her back in season six.

If Peter doesn't see the Degas, he'll have to spot the Cape Verde stamp.

Thanks very much for your comments!

Oh that was GREAT. : )

I loved how Mozzie was working along side Jones, Diana & Peter as they searched for Neal. It was so sad to see Neal believe he would die there alone. You almost made me cry when he decided to use his own blood to write his thank you on note on the wall.

Love the reunion between Peter & Neal at the end.

Thank you so, so much.

I think Mozzie would work with all of them for Neal; he's done it individually so far. I also see Neal as a pretty optimistic guy but at some point reality does kick in. He might try every contingency plan and lay the best breadcrumb trail he can manage but ultimately he'd rely primarily on himself to get out.

I was hoping the message on the wall wasn't too outrageous; I'm glad it worked. And I have to admit I really liked the ending, too.

Thanks so much for your comments.

Loved how diabolically evil Summers was even controlling Neal's oxygen intake. Loved how Mozzie and FBI worked together, gradually piecing together clues. Neal's message on the wall was heartbreaking given how optimistic he usually is.

Thank you so much. Summers was pretty much a control freak in canon, wasn't she? I think Mozzie would do whatever was necessary for Neal, even voluntarily going into a hive of Suits. I'm glad you liked his message. I think he'd want to say goodbye, for all the times in his past when he didn't/couldn't.

Most of what I might have said, others already mentioned, so I'll just say a very heartfelt thank you very, very much for writing and sharing, because I loved every second of it :D.

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. It came quite close to not seeing the light of - pixels? - because I couldn't get the middle tamed but this week it finally fell into place.

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Very nice!

I really liked your choice of villain. Those scenes in the original episode were fascinating, Summers use of manipulation and how Neal responded.

I love that Neal worked every angle to try and escape on this own, very Neal. And, his final despondency at failing was heartbreaking.

Yay, for Peter and the very moving reunion at the end.

Thank you, thank you. Summers was interesting. She really did bring out something hard in him, didn't she?

I'm glad you liked this, and that Neal felt right to you. I'm really hoping for a happy reunion between them for "real" and have my fingers crossed for one.
