I'm going public!

So now that my weekend of sickness is over, I may finally be well enough to do things that might spawn interesting stories. After a face-off with antibiotics and the insurance company, I've arrived back at college with an optimistic outlook on the last few weeks ( Read more... )

what is with you and katie couric lately? SHE'S LEAVING THE TODAY SHOW, GET OVER IT.

and ummmmm organized religion = blah. my family stopped going to church when i was seven because it had turned into where people thought they were supposed to be on sunday mornings. they didn't live their lives according to the things that were taught/spoken about in church the other 6 days of the week. soooooooo no more church. no more rules. my own relationship with God is all i need.

ps; you were away when you left me a message about your bn tickets and i wrote you back. i got some toooooooooo. how crazy is that? bn? on tour? have you seen vinnie's new look? he has a scary 'stache. and brian lane's ass has been looking for you.

i live in the country therefore i have the greatest stargazing ability. one summer night, or many, hopefully soon, you and i will stargaze and unravel each other's thoughts. sounds naughty.
organized religion... i don't think it can work. it is putting people under all the exact same mindset, and people are too big of hypocrites. too many bad ones ruin the institution for those that want it. let's put $10 in the church collection plate and drive off in our hummer, because we have money to burn, literally. they go for appearances, but other than that, their lives are not dramatically different because of church. i have optimism for religious youth because for anyone to hold on to religion firmly and live like they believe in today's times is difficult. they could change a lot if they so chose. as for myself, i believe in God and that's all i need.

I'm pretty darn close to sick of it. I went to my church for Easter...well I shouldn't call it my church since I don't feel at home there anymore. Everything has changed. Too comtemporary...I want my hymns back dangit! And no crappy/cheesy dramas or dancing to the overplayed amy grant style music.....I'm sick of it all. I just want a freaking church where I can worship the way I want to. Maybe that's why I've been avoiding church lately, because I believe I can worship on my own. Plus, it seems like churches are more and more trying to compete for you going there. Adding more benefits, like at my church a coffee shop. Not that I hated it. I actually volunteered there, but still! They're all starting to compete against each other almost going against the whole point of christianity...again it sickens me. That is my rant for the week.
