I more than enjoyed it. Your Syd and Sark and cast of original characters as brilliant as always. Bravo.

I missed the humor (in some of the more dramatic and still loved previous parts and in life in general:)) so, it was very welcome, and I'm glad Sark is still on his pain meds!!

Sometimes I forget that I make obscure references or ones that are culturally specific. Reading this story is hard work! But Googling can be fun. :)

Thanks for reading and feedbacking!

OMG. I was so excited to see Sark use govno, and then you had the whole scene in the debriefing, with him unpacking his duffle and giving Dixon cough drops and . . . [tries to control the hysterical laughter]

Loved loved loved this two parts. I'm really wondering what's up with Sark, since he seems to be a bit all over the place, but I'm definitely enjoying it. And of course, I loved Sydney's reactions to everything, how she's trying to not to give in to Sark, but you can tell it's just a matter of time.

Yep, that's how I see Sark: impossible to pin down, mysterious in his behavior, intense with fleeting moments of genuine boyish charm, constantly keeping everyone around him on their toes by not behaving in an obvious or expected way so that he'll always have everyone wondering what the heck is up with him. If he were transparent in his motivations and obvious and constant in his behavior, he'd be Vaughn. And boy, am I not a fan of stories where one could do a 'Find/Replace' with Sark's name and input Vaughn and the story would work just as well. A readily understandable Sark with transparent motivations is no Sark at all, IMO. ;)

Still not sure I used govno correctly, but ah, well.*g* Glad you enjoyed that and these two parts.

Thanks for reading and feedbacking!

I loved these, especially Part II, which was just genius. It was so hard to keep from laughing out loud like a crazy person in my cubicle. Almost every time I read a line, I would think, "That's my favorite part!" only to have it replaced immediately after. But I did love the Bristow forefingers and Sark rummaging through his bag in particular, especially his little aside about keeping previously worn shoes in plastic bags. Will there be more soon?

Hah! If we're both not careful, I'm going to get you fired and then we'll have to be unemployed-job-seeking buddies in LA together, which could be fun if rather penniless.*g*

That's what I like to hear! I want every chapter, every part to be like a ding-dong stuffed full of layers of yummy chocolate and a cream center. Er, that was a rather bizarre metaphor.

Sark would so think of something like keeping his shoes in ziploc bags when storing them with other items in his luggage. Because he is a fastidious bastard, God love him.

Will there be more soon?
As Wallace would say: fo shizzle.*g ( ... )

This might help. I don't really know much about subleasing, mostly because I'm a dolt, but also because I've never done it before. I know of a few buildings in a good area with vacancies, but they're both quite expensive, and I don't know if they offer temporary leases.

It's funny, when I read Complicity, I keep checking the scroll bar to see how much more I have (and if it's near the bottom, I always kind of whimper and pout to myself). I do the same thing with my favorite TV shows--I keep checking the clock to see how much there is left, and if it's about 40 minutes in, I get very tetchy. Glad to hear that there's more on the way.

Thanks for that link! When I get into town, I think I'll contact some of those places (hard to do from out of state, I would imagine) and stop by to check them out. :)

Aw, and thanks for what you said about Complicity. Oddly, I feel the same way when I write it. I just keep going and going because I personally, as a reader, enjoy long chapters and I have the feeling that most people following this story like long, in-depth chapters, too.*g*

Oh my God. I almost had an aneurysm when I saw your update.

I'm supposed to be working on an essay due at 8am tomorrow, so I had to hide my face from my mum when something funny came up - which was every two lines. I found myself shrieking with laughter at the Wallace/Alvarez stuff. They just kill me. And I LOVED that Sark drew a smiley face and told her "to turn that frown upside down, Freckle Face" I just about fell over with laughter. I really, really enjoyed Sark in these two parts. He is SO funny. "Sharing is caring" Omg. Hee-larious. I don't wanna sit here and quote everything he said, but basically he had me cracking up the entire time. I [heart] him. ^_^

Every chapter/part just gets better and better. Keep up the utterly amazing work. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the House of Bamboo part. ^_~

That's why I love Sark, too: he's intense and focused, but he has a wicked sense of humor and occasional moments of genuine boyish charm. He's awesome and eminently 'heart-able.' No wonder most women want their own Sark; he's not the perfect man or even a nice man, but he's a good man and there's a big difference between a nice man and a truly good man.

The House of Bamboo is going to be a riot, I hope. I have big plans for it since all these characters cannot possibly get together in a social situation without drama, crazy hijinks, and absurdist comedy.*g*
