In today's tradition of very short blog entries, I shall say--I am temping. I am being receptionist lady at a French advertising firm. I am alphabetizing receipts and supposedly answering the phone, if anyone ever calls. It is air-conditioned, it's chill--yeah, it's pretty good. At the dollar store today, I saw a pack of generic sympathy cards. I guess I can imagine a life in which having sympathy cards at your beck and call would be necessary--but it still seems a bit morbid. Oh, your husband died? Let me pull a card out of my back stock and ship it out; I'm sure that will make you feel better. -

I haven't been posting. I know. The thing is, that for me, writing is the closest thing I have to an art. Other things I fool around with, show people with a smile on my face, know that my efforts are nothing more than amateurish at best, and so if they are nothing more than cute, that is okay.
