What's the score with this? I like it, but I'm curious why you used ink(or paint?)
It seems like the black "tree" on the left and the "rorschach"s on the left were kinda an afterthought. Did the scanning give it this warm, almost sepia, tone or was that just the paper?

I can't decide if the things coming out of the bottle are pills or pokeman balls. I'm going with pokeman, mostly because this is such an upbeat piece...

I hope you got whatever was making you so anxious out of your system with this. You have a lot more self restraint with the splotches and splatters. Usually when I go down that road I end up ruining whatever I'm working on. I think I use it as a way to cover up a (perceived?) mistake though and you seem to be a lot more conscious of its use. Are you happy with it?

i haven't plugged in my scanner yet so it was the lighting in the room and the camera on my phone that gave it the sepia color. and i also lost some of the detail with doing that of course.

i don't use ink blotches to cover up perceived mistakes (usually, i mean i guess i might.. hmm), sometimes they just land where they land or i smear a bunch of stuff around. i used ink for this, it's actually a detail of a larger piece but i didn't want to share the whole thing.

the anxiety isn't all out, no. i laid in bed after drawing this thinking up a whole set of ideas on the same theme. i destroy nibs doing things like this though. alice, nib destroyer.

and i made a big mess of myself. that's always nice :)

I see. I kinda like the toning.

What are nibs? The little rolled up paper pencil deals?

Making a mess of yourself and getting some good ideas moving usually is a good way to mellow out a bit.

god, i swear i already replied to this. strange.

nibs are the metal part of a calligraphy pen. i'm not as delicate with them as i should be..

i also wanted to clarify that i have not been misusing the above pokemon balls. just incase someone might read that into that drawing.
