I don't like the stress that comes with shopping for a car. We're looking for the best deal we can find on a Honda Accord or Civic. Any words of wisdom?

Yesterday I was telling Molly how her brother was a letterman, because he earned a varsity letter in high school for wrestling last year. She listened for a minute and then said, "So wait, he's a mail man?" Letter. Man.

Molly had an assignment to write about the best gift. Here is what she wrote:

"My family is the best gift of all because if I didn't have them, they wouldn't have me."

I just made my first amazon.com purchase (Merry Christmas). Now I want to spend hours browsing and buying. :) But I won't. Yet.

Whew! Hosted 25 for Thanksgiving Dinner. Still tired, but it was a wonderful day.

Molly came home from school last week SO excited because there would be a Basketball Camp on Veterans Day (when school was out). She wanted to go enough that she was willing to pay half of the registration fee herself. She ended up being the *only* girl. She was actually quite shy, but I think she warmed up to the idea. Today I was blessed to substitute teach in a special needs classroom at a local high school. The most refreshing part of my day was watching the student aides come in during each class period and be so helpful, treat the special needs students with such respect and kindness.
