Yesterday we had a funeral for our dear gerbil, Schuyler. When Terry found her and told the kids, there were tears shed....and then MORE tears were shed for Snowball who can't possibly live without her friend and so will most certainly be dying soon, too. I finally dragged myself to the doctor this morning. This cough has been exhausting and miserable. I kept think I was getting better...and I did improve, it just wouldn't go away! Today is the beginning of week 4 of being sick. I'm ready to feel healthy again. I'm on my way to pick up my prescription. Thank goodness for antibiotics.

My throat is so sore, my voice is rough and I can barely swallow. :( BUT....I'm hanging in there. I was able to substitute teach (an assignment I accepted more than a week ago) and now I'm catching up on a little computer and tv time. I enjoy gardening. This Spring I planted petunias and impatiens to add to my perennials. I usually have volunteer zinnias grow from the first year I planted them. About a month or two ago I was weeding in my garden and saw a lot of what I thought were zinnias starting to grow. Happy Anniversary to my sweet husband. He gave me the most awesome gift. We were at our family reunion and had a fireside/talent show in the evening.
