I don't know if you're familiar with the steampunk subculture, but it has a lot of potential for interesting things to make/commission/sell in your shop, and potential for store event themes. If you picture the clothes, gadgets and settings in Wild Wild West, Jules Verne, The League of Extraordinatry Gentlemen, and Briscoe County Jr., you're in the right ballpark.
