Fri 08/16/24 - Linen & Lace Ball - Wallace - [non-SCA] - I first heard about this event last year, but I missed out because the tickets quickly sold out. The Mad Boar Inn looks to be a fantastic setting. Really looking forward to it. Flying solo, but wouldn't be surprised to run into friends.

Until February, I'd been inactive with the SCA for over a decade. Then I was asked to join the kitchen squad for The Tourney of Ymir. Stressful, but great people and lots of laughs. Owls have been my favourite animal since I knew they existed. I should have had one in my SCA heraldry from the beginning, but better late than never.

Long ago we ended up with a bunch of grey canvas which made a dandy floor cloth for the main House Bayard pavilion. I based it off the walls in one of the rooms in the Palazzo Davanzati in Florence, but with the colours and stylized ermine spot from my soon-to-be re-worked SCA heraldry.
