The First Sock
is finished! It isn't perfect. I think my knitting philosophy is to always strive for improvement and beauty. Eventually, that equals perfection. Reinventing the Wheel
Knitting class was fun. Apparently I invented a new way of knitting. So she showed me how to knit the way everyone in the shop knits. It's much easier. My method was very hard. I had the stitches twisted differently than the rest of civilization. I'm now doing the part of the sock that goes down the back of your heel. I'll heel shape and get to the ( Read more... ) -

I finished one Kitty Pi. I will start the other one later in the week. It's drying right now, I'll post pictures when it's dry and I have a Lulu nestled in it.
We're watching the Grammys. I am liking all the performances. Except Beyonce. She's just been blah to me lately. -
Oh of course...
Of course after talking to tazzd98 about the Sock Club, guess who gets off the waiting list? Yes, me. Repeat after me: "I do not have $210 to spend on sock yarn". Having not even made my first pair of socks, I can't do this. Yet it is tempting..
Back to work today. After a week off sick, I wonder if I will even know which way is up? :) -
Rain, rain, rain..
It's been raining since Friday. Flooding will start soon. Fortunately we're a good distance away from any body of water. Except, of course, the bodies of water in our backyard. It is a mess. Lake Catherine is expected to flood Malvern today. It's also supposed to drop temperature today and possibly freeze up. I really hope not, at least until I get ( Read more... ) -
