I remember using it in college to describe what happened in the D&D computer game "Eye of the Beholder" when certain monsters were defeated. It may have spread from there.

Tischler Manuver: To dive in unwisely at the expense of safety or rescources, for the purpose of being first. Coined around Formula De, a formula one racing game.

A 'Dale': Complete dice botch. We have a gaming friend who was known to fail an unlikely amount of saving throws. Dale has often been heard to utter a comically detached "I guess I better make a new character..." almost as if he expects it.

I've played Formula De a few times, that game is a blast.

I've heard different versions of a "Dale" - it seems that no gaming group is complete without one. :)

--"To Lilith"-- attack, usually with fire, in a way that takes no account of friendly damage. From one of Sandy's college DnD characters who was an utter ditz.
--"Beat until candy comes out"-- of course, Mr.Boy's comic about us wanting to, er,, dissuade the hyperactive teenager in that one DDC 7th Seas game.
