ITP: Midsummer

[In the forest tonight, there might be something a bit out of the usual. Perhaps it’s the clearing decked out with fresh flowers or the pole wound with herbs and blossoms. Perhaps it’s the food and alcohol set out on cloths on the grass, picnic-style. Perhaps it’s the garlands of flowers and ribbons on the carved wooden table with the little sign that says “take me.” Perhaps it’s the MASSIVE BONFIRE in the center of it all. Or perhaps it’s the three countries in traditional costume who are just turning on the music and getting ready to begin for the night.]

[A little ways away from the festivities, at the edge of the clearing, there is a sign. It reads as follows:]

There is a fern which grows only on the shortest night.
Find it, and you will have the greatest of luck.
Find the other things which seek it, and you may not be so lucky.

[Below the sign, someone has added in a meticulously neat hand: “Please be safe. Go in pairs.”]

((OOC: cuebattlemusic will be out for anyone fern hunting, but no one will be seriously injured unless it’s requested. To participate, just tag the FERN HUNT GOES HERE thread. Join #fernhunt on IRC if you have questions. Otherwise, come party! Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania will all be around. Latvia and Estonia are out. Liet's still around. PS- MINGLE.))
