Your own standards are what are making you miserable and causing you to think in circles. If you do not swallow your pride and ask for help in areas where you need it, you shall maintain your unhappiness--which, granted, would make you quite attractive as a detective from stories. ...If I might advise you, I would say that perhaps there is a counselor who is particularly skilled with complex interpersonal relationships, or even the counseling of over-thinkers. If you cannot sea the threads of your own knots any longer, I would suggest seeking an outside observer for help. Perhaps even someone who knows both you and your friends, for clarity's sake.
