Are you offering lessons to anyone who asks?

That is correct.

Have there been many asking?

Not as of yet.

That's rather surprising, considering that each person in camp is supposed to be armed. I can't quite decide if the lack of inquiry is a good thing or not.

Forgive me, I have not introduced myself. Yuri Petrov, Camp Judge.

Naoto Shirogane, Inaba Municipal Police Detective. It is good to meet you, Petrov-san.

Good to meet you too, Detective Shirogane. Forgive me if this seems like an odd question, but have you been assigned as a detective by Camp? Or are you carrying over your duties to Camp?

The latter. My position as a Detective is something I have worked hard to attain for many years back in my home prefecture; it did not become a transient position once I entered Camp.

I see. That's quite impressive, given your age. Your dedication is admirable.

You're welcome. Actually, if you don't mind, I have a few questions I would like to ask you.

I do not mind.

Thank you. To begin, how organized and effective is the law enforcement here?

Unfortunately, it is neither to the best of my knowledge. There are volunteer vigilante groups, but they are not rigidly organized and usually only work together when Camp is under attack.

Then is it normally each person for themselves here? How often do serious conflicts occur?

Correct. Serious conflicts tend to be private matters, but they can turn public. It is often difficult to gauge, given the variety of Camp's inhabitants.
