Hogswatch is the winter solstice festival back at home. It's like Christmas.

What festivals do you celebrate, Admiral?

Oh, I tend to celebrate whatever is local--the VUX traditions have not stayed with me, it seems. Christmas in particular is rather unobjectionable, and so I have adopted it.

Yes--it got very traditional with the disappearance of the sun recently. The parties and gift-giving are much nicer.

I do not consider my way of speaking overly antiquated and formal--it is, however, High VUX.
