The first week of school here went pretty well for Ran. She likes going to school, and she's already starting to pick up some English. She says the other kids are nice to her, and that there's a couple of girls that play with her at recess, so I think she's on her way to making friends even with the language barrier. She thinks her regular teacher

I'm glad to hear that Ran is doing well in school, but that doesn't surprise me. She's a smart little girl, and she always was so eager to learn new things.

**chuckles** And she does like to help. Sounds like the tree house project will be a fun one. You'll have to send me pictures when it's completed! ^_^

It is fun. I almost finished building it this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it up this week after work, and then she'll be able to play in it. She wants to have a rug to sit on and curtains in the windows, like a proper little house. She's really excited about it.

Of course we'll take pictures and send them to you! Ran would be disappointed if we didn't.

I did, and she says hello back. And she says to tell you that she misses you and Sanzo-houshi and all of her friends, especially Kuan Yin and Miho, but that she's happy here too.

*chuckles* Yeah, I know you are. I think we're pretty much done with it though. You'll have to let Ran show it off the next time you come over to visit.

Well yeah, I mean, I worked on it all last weekend, and I finished it up after work this week. It wasn't too hard once I had the supports and the foundation up.
