Thank you so much for this!

I'd watched it instantly on iPlayer as soon as they'd put it on, ha I was freaking out so much when it wasn't there! I ADORE Murray Gold's work, I'm snapping up the soundtrack to this series as soon as it's out - some of the best so far, I think. But obviously, only listening to the audio is nothing compared to actually seeing it visually, and don't Matt and Arthur look sexy in their suits?!

They've said they'll broadcast the whole thing on television in a while, which I'm very much looking forward to - they did the same with the previous Doctor Who proms, too.

But in the meantime, thank you! You're so lucky!

I LOVE Murray Gold's work too! I'm still sad they never released an official soundtrack for Casanova, I adore the music on that one too.

(I think Arthur always looks sexy... even as an Auton XD)

Am very much looking forward to the broadcast too, so I can relive it all again :D Hopefully they'll bring it either out on DVD as well or put it as an extra on the S5 boxed set.

The "statue at the back" is the bust of Sir Henry Wood, who founded the Proms concerts in (I think) 1895 - and it's there for every concert in the season every year.

I was there on Saturday night, up in the circle, so didn't have as good a view as you - thanks for sharing your pictures!

Thanks for telling me that! I figured it must've been someone important but I didn't realise it was the founder of the Proms :)

I was sitting second tier on the Sunday which also wasn't as good as view, but the sound is much better higher up!

Oh yes, definitely, the sound IS better higher up. I said in my review that it's a long time since I've been to the RAH, and one of the reasons I avoid it is because I don't like the acoustic. It's never loud enough when it should be blowing your head off and I want to reach for the volume button! But the Proms atmosphere made up for it.

Because the Doctor Who Prom is quite a different experience from other performances there (much more interactive, lots going on on the screens) it didn't bother me too much, but I can imagine it being a nuisance during other performances solely focussed on the music.

This is wonderful! I got to listen to the Proms online, but I really wanted to see what was going on. Your pictures are lovely - you either have a really great camera or really great seats ^_^

On Saturday I was lucky enough to stand second row from the front! So even though my camera is pretty bad I managed to get decent enough shots :D
