You did a WONDERFUL recap! Thank you so much for this! The pictures, the videos! It was like I was there! I am unfortunate enough to live on the east coast of the States and not have the opportunity to see it live OR on the telly OR hear it on the radio, so I really, really appreciated this. My favorite bit was the video of the Doctor with the little boy. It was hard to understand what he was saying at times due to the echo, but I could gather what was going on. Again, thank you! <3
Thanks so very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it <3 (it took me a while to make it, but it was fun too because I was able to relive it all that way :D). Ah but if you live on the East coast of the US are you not near/in NYC? That's quite an amazing city too with lots of great things going on.
Is there anything in particular you like to know from the Eleventh Doctor bit? I might remember it good enough to transcribe some sentences:)
I live about 2 hours away from NYC, so my city of choice will be Philly, which is 40 minutes away. :) Either way, neither city has too many Doctor Who events. *tear!* What did the Doctor have the child hold in his hand? I know it was something invisible, I just couldn't make out what it was. haha
That's not too bad though :) I'm from the Netherlands and while I since a month live in London I have travelled to the UK and US for fandomy stuff
( ... )
My memory is not that great, but I saw it twice within roughly 12 hours and I had my pictures and videos to trigger my memory as well ;) Plus it's a good thing I started writing straight away when I got home as I wouldn't remember half of it now :$
BRILLIANT! I was stuck at the back at the top, so my photos are dreadful, but I'm happy because I got the whole scale of the event with the surroundings etc. I love going to the Albert Hall, it's one of my favourite buildings in the world. My only whine is about the clapping and cheering through some of my favourite moments, but that's the Proms for you XD
Oh yeah I hear what you're saying. On Sunday I was sitting in the second tier and I could much better see what was going on (missed half of the monsters on Saturday because the Arena obviously gives a very limited view on that what's not happening on stage). I found the sound better too higher up!
Would that have been the clapping/cheering during "Gallifrey: Our Childhood, Our Home"? I'm wondering if they cut the montage on Sunday to prevent this from happening again...
Yes those were the ones :D Were you in front of them or with the group of people right behind me (I guess behind me, because behind them there was a big gap for the street...)

I wish Arthur had been on longer, too, he sounded very professional but not robotic, like he would be a fantastic host. Maybe next time? 0:)
The boys in their matching suits. Unf.

Ohhh I hope you're right about Arthur!
I didn't realise they wore matching suits O_O *scrolls up to ogle*
