Ratings/warnings: PG-13, I think? I’m bad at ratings. There’s a teensy bit of swearing.

I've been wracking my brain to remember what prompt inspired this and I can't, for the life of me, think what it could be. Remind me please? It's driving me nuts.

And it was the "Jeff doesn't notice he's being hit on by a saleswoman" part that you prompted, weeks ago (March 11). You actually had Annie as being the one who is there when he's oblivious to it happening, but I adapted it to Britta. I often go back and re-read ficcy Friday prompts for inspiration.

I love the story. A very believable approach. Of course Britta doesn't want Jeff, she doesn't even really want Jeff to want her or for Jeff to not want anyone else. That doesn't mean she wouldn't be a bit jealous. I think we have all experienced something like that. I sure as hell have.
I love the subtle difference between Britta dealing with Jeff not being *her* Jeff and not yet dealing with Jeff/Annie. Open-ended. And of course, we don't yet have Jeff/Annie. *sigh* so romantic!
Bonus! Your fic was really funny. I genuinely LOLd at this: She grabs Jeff’s arm. “Did you see that?” she whispers loudly. “Leashes, Jeff! They have them on LEASHES!”
Thank you!
*all the hugs*
