So, we've been for two more ultrasounds, we go every week. The baby weighs about 6 lbs. 7 oz. He's growing very quickly. He's healthy, but if I carry to term he will be huge. So, UTI all gone!! Which makes me feel much better. However, the fact that now someone is pushing up against everything he possibly can, including my bladder well that's a different story. I'm waiting for him to "drop", then perhaps I can eat without feeling like I'm going to hurl and maybe the heartburn that everything gives me will go away. ( Read more... )

Well, I'm still alive. Apparently I have a bit of a urinary tract infection. I've been told this is quite common in pregnancy and it's nothing to worry about. They gave me some pills to clear it up (no worries the pills won't harm the baby). It was a good thing I went in though. The past few weeks have been...weird. I think that's really the only way to describe everything that has been going on. I made the trip to mom's and all in all had a good visit, although a sad one. It's been a rough few days. Our sweet Keekles had been sick, and getting worse. She was so weak and tired and things were failing. She left us tonight at about 8:30. We gave her lots of kisses and told her how very much we love her. It's going to be tough but it was her time. She would be 19 years old on September 24. She had a great life ( Read more... )

My Keekles has cancer. Keek the cat that mom and I got 16 years ago is slowly leaving us. She hasn't been eating and she was acting very weak. Mom took her to the vet and they told us today that she has cancer. She is almost 19 years old. She's had a great life and blessed ours for the past 16 years. We got her after my brother passed away. So the ultrasound was amazing. It took about 2 hours but it was well worth it. They do a complete anatomic scan of the baby. Head to toe, the measure everything and make sure everything is on track.
