Well, the water system at our cabin on Osgood Pond stopped working. It just wouldn't draw water. Must be frozen...where? Discovered that the crafty guy we bought this cabin from had a whole system for thawing out the intake...I just had to be smart enough to figure it out! To make a long story short, I did! We should be glad that Ice-9 doesn't exist (it doesn't, does it?) since the idea of everything being frozen would just be too much for me ( ... )

Very much of a bummer. Now you've got frozen pipes in the walls of your parents' cabin. That is a painful thing to fix. They tend to freeze in multiple, totally unreachable places. The pipes in our cabin are surface-mounted on the inside the walls. Looks hokey, I thought, until it froze up once, then the beauty of fixing surface-mounted copper tubing became evident.

I wish you luck in fixing this one....Hope your brother's place didn't freeze up!
