OK, a question for you. How do I reduce the size of a stored picture to make it fit onto this site? Where do you guys get all those pics you use? If from a digital camera download, how do you make the file small enough to upload to livejournal?

Lotsa different ways, but mine all came from a digital camera. What you gotta do is reduce the image to less than (I think) 100x100 pixels.

http://co.ntagio.us/eljay/iconmaker/ claims to be able to do it all automatically.

Maybe you could just tell me how to do it with something I have on the computer...how do you shrink yours?

I'm told that microsoft paint can shrink photos as can many photo viewing/rotating/editing programs (such as Irfanview for windows).

I shrunk mine with The GIMP, but it has a pretty unintuitive interface, so beware.
