There is nothing left to see.

So. Serenity. I've seen it three times now. My short review is this: Oh. My. God.

However, I can't not ramble incoherently about this movie. So we here go. By the way, I'm writing and posting this before I read anyone else's thoughts. I'm definitely perusing my flist tomorrow and jumping into many a Serenity discussion.

Warning: major gushing and spoilers abound. )

I'm serious, I had the BIGGEST grin on my face I scared Alex at that point, because I had a maniacal grin on my face...

River's "I swallowed a bug" I died laughing. I loved all her little shots. He knows just how to shoot them so they are part of the movie, but somehow, not.

You could barely even see him through the flood of light *shivers*

those dinosaurs had better be on the bridge. That's when I really started to lose it. And then Mal hit the three magic switches and i started crying.

Meeee, too. You remember that shot of her laying above Jayne and Kaylee in the cargo bay? It was when Jayne was clearing out the mess from the Reaver crash. Such a shiny little shot.

And awwww, the three magic switches! *sobs*

*blinks after reading and smiles*
You know me. I cried with Wash and continued to have tears fall (even while I was laughing) until I was out of the theater and talking about it with random people outside.

"Explode? I don't want to explode!" :D

Yes, I do know you. In fact, that was one of my initial thoughts after it happened. I was like, "OMG, Jess is never going to stop crying. She's going to have to drop out of college and spend all her money on kleenex from now on. NOTHING'S EVER GOING TO BE THE SAME."

By the way, this is me digitally hugging you. *virtually squeezes you* I love that Wash's death didn't ruin Serenity for you. That even though you love Wash, you can still appreciate the resonance and emotional depth that his death brought to the movie. I've been having to deal with people telling me that the movie was good up until Wash's death and that, if more Firefly episodes or Serenity movies were to be made, they wouldn't want to watch them. Because they live in a faery-land where nobody ever dies and there are bunnies and stuff. I don't know. I'm rambling. I just like you, and I haven't really told you that enough lately.

P.S. "Sure would be nice if we had some grenades!"

(Livejournal ate my first attempt at a comment, let me try again.)

When I saw River in that halogram, I knew you'd love it...so, while sitting next to Jon, I squeed! just for you! :D He looked at me weird, but just shook his head and went back to watching the movie..

And yes, I did die inside a little when Wash was killed. But I know that death is death and that if anything related to Firefly or Serenity came out after the movie I'd be alright...even if Wash wasn't apart of it. And you rambling is alright! Especially if you're telling me you like me!
