I may be premature, but I am preparing an ode, eulogy form, to the old laptop... it is dying, it seems, and may not allow me to retrieve essential data from it before it goes under for the last time, which will end the run of some accounts and contacts that are only accessed from that laptop... sad, but life ( Read more... )

I decided to go with the desktop since each month for the last few months one or another major expense came up, but I miss the big green chair in body, mind, and spirit... brakes $400+... tires $400+... family in need, $500+... insurance $500... this week I dropped $500+ on car payments and annual storage $1400... and the usual monthlies, car, utilities, and so on... I must want to depress myself, listing it out like this (or more likely reassure myself that it's not depression or laziness keeping me from getting the new laptop :)

maybe in January... or February... or for my birthday in April... or...

maybe I should read a book again :)

thank you for being here :)

I've found myself looking forlornly at my computer for the past few months, wishing like Hell I had a space-saving laptop, so I understand. My expenses haven't been nearly as great. (Clearly, you make an unhealthy amount more than I do! ;) ) Tuition, security deposit and U-Haul rental for the move, and regularly monthlies really do not come anywhere near the money you've had to fork out. I'm sorry you've had to do that, but I'm rather pleased to hear about the help you provided. There isn't enough money in the world to repay that kind of "expense."

I'm trying to catch up on some movies. Perhaps I'll read after that. :)

Anytime.
