This might seem entirely ridiculous since it was first posed to me back in 8th grade by Barclay (in a graphic format) and then reintroduced by my HR manager at my current place of employment, but you might consider this:
Map out where you are, where you're going, how you're going to get there, and keep it posted in some central location to where you are everyday so that you can look at it and remember every time that you feel lost (whether you have a map at your home desk and some mantra taped to your books). The map isn't going to be exact as you don't really know where life will lead you, but it's going to be something to work toward, even as life thrashes you down a river that you're trying to swim upstream. In the end, the struggle upstream will be worth it. Keep remembering that.
And, Anne, any guy would be lucky to have you - you're smart, pretty, generous. You just said a few posts ago that guys are doubling over looking at you. Stop short-changing yourself! :)
