Strange Marketing Decisions

Take two fast food conglomerates.  One comes out with a new product and advertises it a certain way.  You would think that the other would respond with an ad showing the virtues of their product in the same way.  Instead you get something completely different.  I found it funny that it revolves around the Fish sandwiches of the two chains.  It ( Read more... )

Not only is the McDonald's commercial saying it's cheap, it's also having a RUBBER FISH ask for it's filet back.

Although slightly pricier, the Wendy's one actually does seem like it is made from fish and it tastes pretty good. Crazy!

couple that with the giant banner on the mcdonalds near my office that advertises the filet o'fish along with the total calories...geez. rubber mystery fish at massive caloric loads. yah. i want most my daily caloric intake to be something cheap i can't identify....

okay. you know. i can't get the stupid commercial out of my head. the darn singing fish's song just keeps running through my head. and i can't make it stop.

i don't actually WANT a filet o' fish, however, but i don't think it would be possible to create an ad that would make me want one.
