[Personality] Laconic is probably the only real way to describe Serph. Fitting the MegaTen role of "silent protagonist", the majority of Serph’s personality is shaped by the player based on the choices made in game. Outside of player-controlled personality shaping though, Serph is seen as being a very determined man-devil-mandevil... That is oddly compassionate for being a man of so few words. A fearless but level-headed leader, Serph is understanding and accepting of his role of leader of the Embryon tribe; even after they’re out of the simulation and have entered the real world. An understanding (but clearly not very charismatic) leader. He’s cool headed and a quick thinker, utilizing all assets his tribemates can provide.
He takes no joy in devouring his opponents but understands that it is a necessity in order to survive. In Soviet Junkyard, food eats you.
Although he appears stoic on the outside, he is a man who cares a great deal for his comrades. As Sera's perception of the real Serph was a fabrication, the AI Serph bears little resemblance to Serph Sheffield in terms of morality. They are only alike in their logical, precise decision-making and their leadership qualities.
[Specialties/Abilities] He bears the mark of the Water Crown on his cheek. The Water Crown allows his transformation into the devil known as Varna. He’s ice elemental with a weakness to fire when he’s transformed. In human form, he has a very high immunity towards all forms of magic.
During periods of high concentration of solar noise, he's unable to completely transform to Varna. He'll become a half-transformed human/devil creature aptly called "berserk form". Although his body is (mostly) human he has Varna's hunger and bloodlust -- it's too much for his human sense to take and he snaps. He will not stop attacking until he's either been killed or satisfied his hunger.
As a human, it's important to remember he is a highly skilled soldier. He's skilled with firearms and has his revolver on him at all times.
[Affection] All forms of affection are allowed. Serph will just stand there though. He understands touch can be a comforting thing to his comrades and is willing to provide a comforting hand on a shoulder, embrace, gentle tug on the ear, etc. He may be a bit wary of affection from strangers but he'll accept it.
[Fighting] Fighting Serph is not encouraged. He is level-headed and will try to solve conflicts non-violently but if he is attacked, he will stand his ground. He has absolutely no qualms with transforming into Varna when he feels threatened but even in human form he is very skilled. He's incredibly agile and highly skilled with firearms in human form. As Varna, he's a powerhouse. Berserk mode is what I strongly do not suggest fighting; although he's crazed and driven by hunger, his attacks will be frantic. They'll miss a few times but if he lands even one, it's pretty much an instant-kill.
If you do choose to fight Serph, it is very important you keep in mind the physics from his world. Magic will have almost no affect on his human form. Although Varna is weaker towards fire (as he's an ice elemental), this does not translate to Serph's human or berserk forms. Also remember that Serph devours his opponent. Eats them. There is a high chance that your character will be cannibalized. If you want that, tell me because I would love to tear someone apart.
[Other Facts] He is a cannibal. The law of the Junkyard was "eat or be eaten" and he chose to devour his enemies. The devil inside him, Varna, causes his hunger for flesh to steadily grow. This desire cannot be curbed until I get a Sera. He has to eat, lest the craving and bloodlust overtake him and he loses control. and the desire to feed will turn him against his own comrades.
