I went on a long walk today. Accidentally. We started off with brunch at the end of the hill, but ended up at Echo Park in pedal boats. Yay! I love pedal boats.

I ended up clocking about 6 miles today. I missed urban walks. I even bought a book on LA walks called--wait for it--Walking LA. Yup. Going to try some.

I love pedaloes! I used to take the children to a boating lake near Penrith and we'd play pirates in them, trying to dodge the swans who were designated the Royal Navy. Maybe James would still humour me and play that again this summer.

I was under the impression that no-one walked in LA, so I'm impressed and astounded that there's a book devoted to doing just that. Your journal continues to be a mine of information for me.

It is not as common as it should be, so there are bits on how to drive to the walking spots.

I've only seen Adam do "Ring of Fire", and I liked him. My friends at school think he's creepy, but I thought it was brilliant. He reminds me of someone, but I can't quite put my finger on who. I hope he wins.

So, I don't know if you're still up for it, but I'm going to buy tickets to that How To Be movie because it's playing in LA in May. Here is the link: http://firstglancehollywood.bside.com/2009/schedule/week. The one on Saturday is sold out, so it'll have to be Sunday @ 1.
