[Fffzzt and someone’s once all-too-quiet voice filters through the communicator. It seems distant as first, as if Eddie has set the communicator down and is pacing around it. If you listen closely enough, perhaps you can pick up on some hummed snippets of “Hush Little Baby”. Then he speaks directly into the comm, his tone clear and smug.]Question: ( Read more... )

The suit isn't technically mine anymore. It hasn't been for a long time. It's Sentient. The only thing between us is the fact that I built it.

Perhaps certain areas were hacked before others.

Disappointing.

If it's able to Hack the suit, then there's more to worry about than him being controlled. A hacker that powerful could get into virtually anything.

Question: are there any conceivable systems that would be immune to such hacking at this level?

Probably Ultron, and I could think of one other.

Oh? Going to continue or are you content with dangling information like a fumbling double agent?

What? Interested in Ultron? Don't be. It's a Sentient AI that's long outlived it's welcome on Earth, and never knows when it should just give up already.

Peeved you off, did it? Whose AI was it originally?

And are there any other options you're hiding?

It's annoying. Really, you ever think you completely annihilated something and it keeps coming back?

Not any that I would share.

I'm pretty sure that's how a few people feel about me, actually.

So a personal project? Something that you hold dearly. Would this hacker, perhaps, be aware of it? Maybe even make an attempt on it?

I'm sure they're aware of it, at least in the sense of it existing, although I doubt they know it's capabilities or specifications.

I see. She could hack this very conversation, if she so chose. Is this a reasonable risk?

She could, although corrupting data is so easy to do these days. You might find that this conversation won't be accessible on your comm's archives in the morning.

Well gee, that would have been useful to know, oh, about ten minutes ago. You're lucky I've got an impeccable memory.

Data isn't the only thing easily corruptible. Is there any evidence suggesting her access to willing pawns?
